Re: Cat Lovers Will Understand (2.00 / 2)

It was Gizmo.  She died a few weeks ago, sadly.  She made it to 17, not bad for a cat I would say.

She was hella fat.  She would break into the catfood bag, eat and purr, then fall asleep.  She was the happiest creature I've ever known.

And hella fat.

Rest in peace Gizmo. Let's hope there is a big fat catfood bag where you are now. Sorry for your lost reap.

Re: Cat Lovers Will Understand (none / 0)

I had a cat that lived to be 21 (died when I was 23, so we'd grown up together totally).  That was 5 years ago, and I still miss him sometimes, as lame as that sounds!

Not lame (none / 0)

I have no idea how old Sarah Bernhardt Cat was when she died, but I was 21 and my stepfather found her as a kitten frozen to a grate on the University of Minnesota campus in the middle of winter the same year I was born, so she must've been around that age.

She was the meanest ol' cat, but we loved her regardless.  I knew she meant business when she climbed on my tummy to nap, and her claws dug into me whenever I tried to move.

The new cat, however sweet-natured, just doesn't have the same personality.

Sarah wasn't huge (none / 0)

She was mostly fur.  Underneath she was lean and mean.  And yes, it was lucky that we kept the first aid cream in the bathroom...

PDL, I don't think that's lame. I think anyone who has opened their heart to an animal knows they are personalities who leave their mark.
