Gallup: HRC gets Big Post PA Bounce

No Bump you say?

Really?

Funny, this looks like a bump to me:

The Democratic nomination race is now tied, with Barack Obama favored by 48% of national Democratic voters and Hillary Clinton by 47%.

7 points since April 22nd, hmm what happened around that time?

The latest results, based on Gallup Poll Daily tracking from April 22-24, include two days of interviews conducted entirely after Tuesday's Pennsylvania Democratic primary. Support for Clinton is significantly higher in these post-primary interviews than it was just prior to her Pennsylvania victory, clearly suggesting that Clinton's win there is the catalyst for her increased national support.

Most of Clinton's increased support (from 40% to 47%) has come from previously undecided voters.

And Obama or CLinton v Mccain?

Clinton fares slightly better than Obama against John McCain in hypothetical matchups for the November election. Although both races are too close to call given the poll's margin of error, Clinton is running two points ahead of McCain, 47% to 45%, while Obama is running one point behind, 45% to 46%.

SOMETIMES you have to stand in the way of control, i made this to illustrate that HRC must continue to stand in the way of control, lest we get President Mccain

There will be dancing in the streets when President Hillary is sworn in.

I'm dusting off my dancing shoes as we speak.

When HRC is sworn in... (none / 0)

.... she will proudly gallop down Pennsylvania Avenue atop the mighty Pegasus, showering her adoring constituents with gold coins and fine chocolate sweets.

In Iraq itself, his downfall would be met with dancing in the streets. A decent successor regime would be very likely to encourage peace in the region.

Wonder who enabled that "dancing in the streets" of Iraq.

Re: Gallup: HRC gets Big Post PA Bounce (2.00 / 1)

Way to go, Folks! Thanks to every person who is taking the time to travel to primary states, to make phone calls, to donate our dollars, to blog for Hillary, to write letters to the editor and to our local papers, thanks to everyone making whatever effort they can to support the best candidate for the presidency.

I predict we will all be cheering as she is sworn in in January, 2009, and we will all be headed for a better life, a stronger country, healing divisions, and new opportunities for us and our children. And as our first women president she will bring a game changing philosophy to international affairs, far more equality to our society, and smarter, more effective change to Washington. Real hope, real change, real grit!

Re: Gallup: HRC gets Big Post PA Bounce (none / 0)

But no bounce in Rasmussen. In fact, Obama has gained a few points since PA.

If polls differ, you can't determine if there really is a trend.

Only about 175 daily tracking poll diaries left until the next president is elected.

Won't that be a happy day. You'd think by now people would stop obsessing over every little shift as proof that now, finally the big mo is on.

Re: Gallup: HRC gets Big Post PA Bounce (none / 0)

2 Things.

1. Obama's support in Gallup has stayed the same, Hillary has just picked up more undecided supporters.

2. That ARG poll is an improvement for Obama, it shows movement is in his direction.

Hopefully it's not just a bump, and it's the beginning of a trend.

Re: Gallup: HRC gets Big Post PA Bounce (2.00 / 1)

Wow.  Hillary has gone up 7 points in the last 5 days.  She's got the momentum!!  Maybe she can cream obama in Indiana and make it single digits in North Carolina.

Re: Gallup: HRC gets Big Post PA Bounce (none / 0)

i say this with the coming of every weekend as Clinton Supporters prop up the tracking polls.  Tracking polls always get close at this time of the week...look at the data 6 or 7 days ago when they were tied.  It will be back up by Tuesday, watch.  Can we stop with the tracking poll diaries.

Re: Gallup: HRC gets Big Post PA Bounce (none / 0)

We knew she had gotten a surge of support following her victory.  We could feel it.

But this is precisely why the punditocracy worked so hard to slam her with negative press in the 48 hours that followed her decisive victory.  They were trying to do damage control, just like all of the Obama supporters came to flood us with angry, bitter remarks and ad hominem attacks.

But we follow the example set for us by our candidate, and continue to work hard for real change.
